Leroy Peppers - Summer '12 Mix for ooVoo
Leroy Peppers (or Christan Martin to thems less informed) is on to something here. He's put together a five part mix compiled in to 45 minutes of genre divided, perfectly mixed, completely tasteful, and obviously well thought out hip-hop and dance music. Part one is based all around East Coast rap, moving from Asap to E-40 and more, then transforming in to Bay Area hip-hop, focusing on dudes like Kendrick Lamar, Tupac, and Too $hort. From there it moves in to booty droppin house with the man himself and also his brother, Justin Martin. Leroy then easily moves in to Uk Garage/Bass with tunes from Lil Silva, Guy Andrews, and Pariah. He rounds it off with part 5, based all around Southern rap with an emphasis on dudes like 2 Chainz, Gucci, and Waka Flocka. I've never quite heard a mix like this, and the fact that it's recorded all 100% live using a couple CDJ's and a Rane mixer makes me actually have hope in the future of humanity. Gotta love the Dirtybird boys....always top notch, always flawless. Snag this, it'll easily get you through the rest of the summer.
